The Largest Public Pool of Japan by Water Surface Looks Like a Resort Facility!

Sun Beach Nikkogawa is a public pool facility of Nagoya City which, while not being a strictly touristic place, attracts lots of Japanese and expatriate residents for the reasonable and enjoyable installations. The facility has three large pools of fresh water, each of them with its own bank of fine white sand imported from Australia. One of them is shallow and has an aquatic playground for the little ones, the middle one is massive and allows for relaxation and play, and the last one, despite being very large, has its own massive system of wave-generation pumps that are fun and entertaining.

The pools are mostly kids-friendly and there are many lifeguards on duty at all times, meaning they are quite safe for kids, who will be especially thrilled by the free-to-ride water sliders.
Located in the Minato-Ward, southern Nagoya-City near to the meeting of Nikko River with the sea, the facility has restaurants and refreshment kiosks with reasonable prices, fresh water showers installed everywhere and lots of grassy fields to relax under the sun. You can also use their coin lockers, dressing rooms with showers, air compressors to inflate the water toys, and much more.

Prior reservations required for admission.
