Various special events are staged on weekends and holidays, along with the regular daily experiments and demonstrations. You’re invited to see, watch, touch, ask, experience and discover. Guaranteed to amaze and educate children and adults alike.

NTP Planet, One of the World’s Biggest Planetariums

Nagoya City Science Museum

What looks like the Death Star has descended on Nagoya City, is in fact, at 35 meters across, one of the biggest planetariums in the world, “NTP Planet”, and one of the highlights of the Nagoya City Science Museum. The star-projector (which looks like some futuristic Death Star weapon!) is one of the world’s most complex and most accurate, and can replicate the night sky seen from the Northern or Southern Hemisphere at any point in time, past or future. Up to 350 visitors can enjoy watching the stars and special simulations of space travel-like star scenes from the comfort of the reclining chairs. Exhibitions and themes change monthly, and every show is fantastic!
