Anticipated Grand Opening June 2020

The Nagoya Japanese Sword Museum "Nagoya Touken World" a museum of the finest Japanese swords is expected to open in June of 2020.
Known as “touken” in Japanese, over 200 elegant Japanese swords will be on display, including valuable Japanese swords designated as Important Cultural Properties.
Furthermore, roughly 50 suits of armor are anticipated to be on display in a large-scale exhibition. The museum will also be equipped with a hands-on experience space featuring state-of-the-art media. The concept of the museum is “a place where anyone can encounter and enjoy Japanese culture,” making it a welcome addition as one of Nagoya's newest tourist facilities.
