Enjoy the Fragrance of Wisteria That Spreads Throughout the Lively Grounds

Densely growing wisteria flowers with especially long clusters are an amazing sight in Hekinan-City. Koto Garden has a Darumafuji wisteria and 14 Nagafuji wisterias (famous as the so-called “Hiro-no-Nagafuji”), and visitors to the Wisteria Festival held every year from the end of April until early May are able to enjoy the wonderful scenery and fragrances that spread out over the 1,000m2 and more of the garden's grounds, courtesy of flower clusters that are over a meter long.

■ Nanba Paper Lantern Light-Up
Passed down in Hekinan-City, red paper lanterns that resemble flower buds called "Nanba Chochin" illuminate Koto Garden for one night only, giving visitors a taste of a magical atmosphere that's different from normal.
