Toyohashi Zoo & Botanical Park in Non Hoi Park offers guests a zoo, botanical garden, natural history museum, and an amusement park on its vast 40-hectare grounds. It is a fun place for people of all ages as it provides opportunities to both learn and play.

Toyohashi Zoo & Botanical Park (Non Hoi Park)

Encounter giraffes walking in the grassland and monkeys in the treetops, as well as penguins and spotted seals among 800 animals of some 130 species. There's the Fureai Plaza where you can touch rabbits and guinea pigs as well as the Mogumogu Plaza where you can feed for yourself goats, sheep, and capybaras for a small fee, making it very popular with children.
The botanical garden too is home to numerous species of plants with approximately 30 thousand you can enjoy in the Rose Garden and Japanese Garden, in addition to a forest with various local trees. The greenhouse environment, home to a plant life paradise with rare tropical fish, makes it summer no matter when you go! And of course, the Monet Corner with water lilies, weeping willows, wisterias, and more from impressionist painter Claude Monet's home of France make you feel like you're in one of his paintings.

Discover the charm of Non Hoi Park by riding the futuristic electric-powered Segway rides!
Learn how to ride with instructor guidance then go for a tour in the park. Even beginners can participate with complete peace of mind!
In addition to the 60-minute Beginner's Tour and Standard Tour (depending on the rider's riding skills), the park also offers Short Tours with a length of about 30 minutes. Note that guidance is given in Japanese.

Learn about the how the world once was as you observe 12 full dinosaur skeletons, such as Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, an authentic Edmontosaurus, and more. You can also delve into the mysterious origins of life while learning about the geological and biological history from the Earth's beginning to the present with the newest data and numerous specimens, quizzes and games, as well as guided tours and explanations.
Or visit the amusement park for fun on 14 different rides like the Non Hoi Rollercoaster and merry-go-round at just JPY 100–300 a ride or an all-you-can-ride adult day pass for JPY 1,000. The huge Ferris wheel offering a view of the city of Toyohashi is great for families with children, but perhaps even greater for that special date!

    • Drive for approx. 1 hour on Route 1 in the direction of Toyohashi from the Tomei Expressway Hamamatsu Interchange via Hamana Bypass, and turn left at the Doshokubutsuen Intersection.
