The Stone Gate of Sunrise

Watch the rising morning sun framed by two quaint pieces of rock carved by wind and waves, one on the shore and another slightly distant in the sea, but both providing an uplifting and spiritual experience. The best days to watch are between mid-October and mid-February. On New Year's Day, many locals flock to this spot to see the first sunrise following a ancient Japanese tradition.
The location of each gate allows guests to watch the framed rising sun from two special, distinct locations on the shore.
