The Shonai Ryokuchi Greens has about 20,000 nanohana rapeseed plants and 700 sakura cherry trees which, come spring, all start to bloom at once. This is celebrated with the Spring Flowers Festival centered around Saturdays and Sundays featuring food trucks, workshops, and mini sports events. The park premises are quite expansive, but rental bicycles are available so moving around is a breeze.
