  • Shonai Ryokuchi Greens - Rapeseed & Sakura Festival (Shonai Ryokuchi Nanohana Sakura Matsuri)
  • Shonai Ryokuchi Greens - Rapeseed & Sakura Festival (Shonai Ryokuchi Nanohana Sakura Matsuri)

The Shonai Ryokuchi Greens has about 28,000 rapeseed shrubs and 700 sakura cherry trees which, come spring, all start to bloom at once. This is celebrated with the Nanohana & Sakura Festival on Saturdays and Sundays, featuring events such as exhibitions, workshops, exercise classes, and the sale of knick-knacks or snacks. The park premises are quite expansive, but rental bicycles are available so moving around is a breeze.

*: In order to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infections, please refrain from holding parties that involve eating or drinking, eating while walking, eating together in large numbers, playing loud music or speaking in loud voices, and using large tents or picnic sheets. In addition, one part of the cherry trees area is roped off. Entering the area inside the ropes is prohibited.
