The 2020 festival will be held online.

Once called simply "Toyohashi Festival," this event changed its name to (ええじゃないか豊橋まつり Ee-Janaika Toyohashi Matsuri), which literally means something like "Isn't It Great? Toyohashi Festival." However, the term "Ee-Janaika" has a contextual meaning of "Festive Carnival-like Religious Celebration" in Japan. And that’s exactly what it is: throughout multiple venues around the city, the populace engages in dances both traditional and modern, with ceremonial garments that make for a great sight. Another event is the "Pareka," a term born out of mixing the words "parade" and "carnival." The So-Odori, when everybody starts to dance, is another high point of the event.

Mitsu-Janaiyo! Online Toyohashi Festival will take place with anti-infection measures in place!

2020 events will be broadcast on the local Toyohashi cable network.

Public viewings will be held at three venues:
-City Hall 13th floor
-Development Center for Children’s Futures
-South exit of Toyohashi Station

The opening and finale will also be shown on the official YouTube channel.
