A Triathlon Unfolding Amidst the Magnificent Scenery of the Atsumi Peninsula

A triathlon is truly a race for masters of swimming, bicycling and running, and one has been held every year since 1987 in Aichi Prefecture too, at the Irago Peninsula. Athletes gather from all over the nation to take part in this popular race, which unfolds amidst the blue ocean, white sands and magnificent, beautiful scenery of the Atsumi Peninsula. Also, on the eve of the competition, a fireworks show greets the competitors welcoming them to Atsumi Peninsula!

Date	: September 9 (Saturday) and 10 (Sunday), 2023 *: Held in the case of rain. However, depending on the weather conditions the day of the event, the course may be changed and the distance shortened or the competition may be cancelled entirely if it is determined that competition operations have been hindered.

Atsumi Cycling Road)

Fee	: -Spectator: free of charge -Application fee: A-Type 31,000 yen; B-Type 26,000 yen : A separate 1,000 yen administrative fee is also required. : Please note that the application fee cannot be refunded after May 27 (Saturday), 2023.

Access by public transport

-From Toyohashi Station (board the JR Tokaido Main Line or Meitetsu Nagoya Line from Nagoya Station) take the Toyotetsu Bus Irago Main Line (伊良湖本線 Irago Honsen) bound for Cape Irago (伊良湖岬 Iragomisaki) (approx. 100 min. ride) and get off at Koijigahama (恋路ヶ浜), or;
-From Mikawa-Tahara Station of the Toyotetsu Atsumi Line (board from Shin-Toyohashi Station, in turn reachable by JR Tokaido Main Line or Meitetsu Nagoya Line from Nagoya Station) take the Toyotetsu Bus Irago Main Line (伊良湖本線 Irago Honsen) bound for Cape Irago (伊良湖岬 Iragomisaki) (approx. 55 min. ride) and get off at Koijigahama (恋路ヶ浜).
