Light Up Your Heart Bright In Yonezu

Experience a romantic, yet exciting hot August night of 3,000 exploding stars and Star Mines, and 2,000 lit lanterns reflected on the surface of the waters of the Yonezu River Festival. See the exciting hand held Temochi Fireworks, and the brave men who wield them.

4:30 PM - 8:30 PM - Photo Session
5:00 PM - 5:30 PM - Marching Band
6:45 PM - 7:00 PM - Opening Ceremony
7:00 PM - 7:15 PM - Recitations/Incense lighting
7:00 PM - 8:30 PM - Laying of Mando lanterns on the river
7:30 PM - 8:30 PM - Fireworks

Mando Lanterns for sale:

    From Meitetsu Nagoya Station (名鉄名古屋駅 Meitetsu Nagoya Eki), board the train bound to Kira-Yoshida Station (吉良吉田駅) (the train goes by the Meitetsu Nagoya Line until Shin-Anjo Station, then changes to Meitetsu Nishio Line; no changing of trains needed - approx. 42 min ride). Walk 6min to the riverbed of Yahagigawa River near Yonezubashi Bridge (米津橋 Yonezubashi).

    By National Route 23 (Okazaki Bypass) until the crossing with Aichi Prefectural Route 44 (Fujii Inter 藤井インター crossing), then head southwest until the crossing with Route 12 near the Yonezubashi Bridge (1.2 km). Expect heavy traffic around the venue.
