An Impressive Parade of Over 100 Fishing Boats

At this traditional two-day event at romantic Shinojima Island, the first day is reserved for the Gion Festival, with processions and rituals, and the Gion Festival Fireworks Show in the evening. The second day is marked by the Nojima Festival, a fishermen procession praying for safety and abundant catch, where the countless fishing boats go on parade along the island coast.

One of the earliest fireworks shows among the countless displays held in Minamichita-Town during the summer, it is possible to watch it from anywhere along the sea border, with both pyrotechnics and nature providing the elements for an unforgettable vacation!
