Catch sweetfish in clear waters before a BBQ

Oto River Fishing Weir's Soba Dojo Yakuzentei soba noodle restaurant at Mt. Miyamoto Natural Restoration offers hands-on fun at its weir—a method for catching fish like a sieve in a river—as well as refreshing BBQs from spring to summer. From fall to winter, make your own soba noodles using buckwheat flour locally procured from the surrounding Nukata area.
Every year in the middle of May, you can catch sweetfish in the lush natural Oto River with your own two hands before cooking and eating your catch over a BBQ grill.

Advance reservation required for BBQ, soba noodle making, and firefly observation.(Reservation required one day in advance.)
