A park that expresses the worldviews of Studio Ghibli films

Packed with recreations of the worlds within the Studio Ghibli films cherished by so many around the world, Ghibli Park came to life on November 1, 2022 in Expo 2005 Aichi Commemorative Park (Moricoro Park).
The park will ultimately consist of five areas in total. On November 1, 2022, Hill of Youth, Ghibli's Grand Warehouse, and Dondoko Forest were opened. Mononoke Village and the Valley of Witches are set to open in 2023.
You'll be able to experience the worldview of Studio Ghibli productions by walking on your own feet along the forests and roads.

Studio Ghibli's very first tourism video, "Play along with the Wind," was also created for this park's opening. It showcases the charms of "Aichi, home of Ghibli Park."

Ghibli's Grand Warehouse

A massive indoor facility that is virtually a "Ghibli Exposition", and filled with various exhibits of Studio Ghibli works. Here, you will find a theater, three special exhibitions, a shop and a café, all chock-full of that "Ghibli" goodness.
Its construction took advantage of the heated pool area that closed in 2018, and since it is entirely roofed, guests are able to enjoy comfortably even during rainy weather.

Hill of Youth

Located near the north entrance of Expo 2005 Aichi Commemorative Park, this area greets visitors and guides them into the world of Ghibli Park.
Here, you can step into expressions of the worlds from Whisper of the Heart and The Cat Returns.
At the World Emporium from Whisper of the Heart, you'll see both antique shop and violin workshop, matching the atmosphere of the movie.
The Elevator Tower features design elements from late-19th-century science fiction, such as seen in Castle in the Sky and Howl's Moving Castle, and is located near the park's North Gate Square, with visitation open to anyone even without an admission ticket.

Dondoko Forest

Inspired by the environment depicted in My Neighbor Totoro, you will find Satsuki and Mei's House in an area surrounded by greenery. Explore also the walking path in the forest behind the mountain, and on the top of the mountain, find Dondoko-do, a huge wooden Totoro-shaped playing equipment for kids.
Here, children and adults alike can have a relaxing time.

Mononoke Village *Opens Fall, 2023

This area is being designed to resemble a Japanese countryside's atmosphere and will be based on Princess Mononoke's Emishi Village and Irontown.

Valley of Witches *Opens March, 2024

Here you will be able to experience the fantasy from Howl's Moving Castle, Kiki's Delivery Service, and other films. This will be the largest of all five areas.
