Spring is here at picturesque Tokugawaen Garden

Early spring between late February and early April at Tokugawaen Japanese Garden is greeted by plum, peach, and cherry blossoms decorating the premises. The garden's foliage greets visitors as well as the numerous events below. Plus, Tokugawaen Origin Day on Sunday, March 17 offers free admission!

Tokugawaen Garden

Floating hina dolls
The placement of hina dolls on small rafts to float on the water was the original form of the Hina Festival. Handmade pieces are floated on the garden's Ryusen Lake.

Location: Outside Tokugawaen Garden Hall
Capacity: 150 participants on a first-come, first-served basis (tickets given out from around 12:45 pm outside Tokugawaen Garden Hall)

Garden concert (film scores)
Listen to an acoustic performance with guitar and piano of musical scores from some of the good old movies of yesteryear.

Black Gate Handmade Market
Tokugawaen's customary handmade market is back. Booths fill the area with more than 30 verities of handmade goods with snacks available.
