Fantastic lantern-lit boats and fireworks at a gorgeous location!

The Miyoshi-ike Matsuri (or Miyoshi Lake Festival) takes place at the Miyoshi Lake, in the city of Miyoshi, located between Nisshin-City and Toyota-City, southeast region from Nagoya. The artificial lake, which brought prosperity to the city by attracting agriculture and industry thanks to the steady flow of water it provides, is the stage of a beautiful display of fireworks that annually attracts tens of thousands of visitors!

1,200 fireworks reflected on the lake's surface!

In the sky, astounding fireworks. In the lake, seven float boats decorated with hundreds of "chochin" lanterns. All wrapped by the incredibly beautiful reflection of the pyrotechnic display on the lake's water mirror, and concluded by a majestic "Niagara Falls" fireworks cascade.
Prior to the fireworks, associations of local residents execute a series of shows and demonstrations, including dances, music and percussion shows, and much more.
