Asano Park in Ichinomiya-City is built on the land that once was the palace where dwelt Warring States period hero, General Asano Nagamasa. Nowadays, every year in late April an excess of 1,000 azalea bushes bloom across the park, painting it in vivid red, pink and white, and the city holds the Azaleas Festival.
