Higashi-Mikawa Furusato Park is a vast green area in Toyokawa-City that is known for its countless azalea bushes that blossom gorgeously in late April. When that time comes, the park holds the Furusato Spring Festival, with merchants selling local produce, and attractions such as chainsaw wood carving art contests and other curious events are held in the premises, mainly on the Sunday.
