Owari's Ninomiya Shrine, where Himenomiya, guardian deity of women, is enshrined

Oagata Jinja Shrine

A historic shrine that is said to have been transferred to its current location in the year 3 B.C. The present shrine was reconstructed in 1661, and has been designated as one of the nation's important cultural properties. Himenomiya, called the guardian deity of women, is enshrined within the precincts and is worshiped as a deity of safe childbirth, having children, women's diseases and matchmaking. At Musuhi Pond behind the main shrine, you can write your wish on a piece of paper, float it on the surface of the water and pray for a good match in marriage.
