A Time to Appreciate the Autumn Harvest and Admire the Full Moon

During this harvest moon viewing event, Tokugawaen Garden will stay open until 8:30 PM and a decorated boat will be visible on Ryusenko Pond! Visitors can experience the Japanese tradition of moon viewing while enjoying the autumn atmosphere.

“Fifteenth Night Moon Viewing” Japanese-style boat light-up

Event date: September 9 (Friday) and September 10 (Saturday)
*: Held in the case of light rain
Event time: Sundown to 8:30 PM (last admission 8:00 PM)
Event location: Ryusenko Pond

The garden will be open in the evening, during which time a boat decorated for moon viewing will float on Ryusenko Pond, accompanied by nighttime illumination.
