Once night rolls around at the summer Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens, the lights turn… on! Enjoy the otherwise dark nighttime zoo in a whole new way as it's lit up during this special event period.
Become illuminated on zoo inhabitants' otherwise secret nighttime behavior with friends, family, or that special someone!

Listen to special stories from zoo caregivers about their animals at the Night Zoo & Garden "Evening Animal Talk Show"!

Evening Botanical Talk Show
This talk show educates about plants and their interesting characteristics.

Special Night Zoo & Garden Japanese fans
Special Night Zoo & Garden Japanese fans are given to 1,000 guests each night on a first-come, first-served basis!!

Zoobo Gate
Delight in cool beer and soft drinks as well as tasty treats from must-try food trucks.

Kamiike Stage
Enjoy hula and Tahitian dancing, ukulele performances, and other entertainment. Street performances too excite the night during the event period!

Higashiyama Boat House
Don't miss out on the chance to take an otherwise unavailable, special nighttime pedal boat ride (pedal boats only).

Have a ball at the amusement park as you've never enjoyed it before.

North Park Garden Plaza
Order frankfurters and beer in front of Café North Garden! Three game stalls also make an appearance!

Higashiyama Sky Tower
Handing out original Japanese fans to the first 200 guests to enter. Plus, enjoy a small buffet at MOET & DINING, Sky Tower Location!

Important points

• Leave yourself plenty of time to arrive as admission from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm is expected to experience congestion.
• Certain areas close from 4:30 pm. (Please note that some animals and plants cannot be observed.)
• Photography using flashes or strobe lights as well as use of flashlights, toys emitting bright or blinking light, etc. is prohibited.
• Each event's details are subject to change or cancellation without prior notice.
• Be cautious of heat stroke and drink plenty of water even at night.

• Admission by Junior high school ages and younger free of charge.
• Admission to Night Zoo & Garden is also possible with normal admission fees!
Parking : Pay parking available (1,600 spaces)

Parking rates: JPY 800 for standard-sized vehicles / JPY 2,000 for large vehicles

• Parking validation tickets good for two hours are given to zoo-goers using the Ikeshita municipal parking lot at the Ikeshita Subway Station.
