Some 1,500 fireworks and lantern-laden boats reflect on the lake surface!

Seven boats adorned with 401 lit lanterns cruise around Miyoshi Pond as consecutive fireworks explode in the water creating enormous arcs of light on the pond surface in addition to a variety of airborne fireworks in a wonderful display. The local chamber of commerce offers a myriad of vendor booths adding to the festival spirit.
Plus, this year's Miyoshi Pond Festival is taking applications for sponsorship donations, allowing sponsors special seating. Donate a bit to the festival for an even more relaxing seat with an amazing view of these astounding fireworks. Details are available from the Miyoshi Pond Festival info page (Japanese) below.
