When the Floats of Tsutsui and Dekimachi Towns Meet Each Other!

An annual event gathering the gorgeous floats of the towns of Tsutsui (Tsutsui-cho) and Deki (Dekimachi). Taken for parading and revolving acrobatics at Tenno Festivals held separately in each town on the first Saturday of June, on the following Sunday the floats head to Tokugawaen Garden where they meet at the gates. There, Karakuri Puppet Doll demonstrations, maneuvering acrobatics, and other attractions entertain the visitors.

This event is a great chance to watch some of the last remaining floats of Nagoya-City and the Karakuri they feature. Also, the period from late May to early June is when the Hana-Shobu irises of the garden are in blossom. Check out the approximately 1,800 irises of 26 different species.
