Transmitted in its from for over 300 years, the festival features the impressive 31 floats of Handa, all being displayed in parades and splashy maneuvers at key points along their courses.
Additionally, performances of Karakuri mechanized puppet dolls, Shishimai Lion Dances, Mikomai Shrine Maiden Dances, as well as other exquisite traditional arts, all are part of the countless attractions entertaining locals and tourists alike for eight weeks of pure traditional Japanese fantasy that foreigners visiting during the period cannot miss!
