Amazing tsunabi rope-led fireworks brighten the shrine grounds

A unique fireworks festival appointed an Intangible Folk Cultural Heritage of Aichi Prefecture, with over 400 years of history. Featuring an amazing ritual of fireworks that, when lit, fire off along a rope suspended over the street leading up to the Toyokawa Susano'o Jinja Shrine. There are also hand-held cannon fireworks and giant cannon fireworks, floats, portable shrines, and traditional dances.
