Samba and Cosplay Parades With a Finale Featuring Tezutsu Hand-Held Cannon Fireworks!

Heating up the already hot summer of Nagoya comes the Osu Summer Festival, held annually for two days in late July or early August. The venue encompasses Osu Kannon Temple and the Osu Shopping District.

One of the traditional attractions is the Samba Show & Samba Parade, with attractive ladies dancing to a live samba band. The second day features the Cosplay Parade, a big event that gathers more than 1,000 cosplayers each year from all over the world, and that honors the geeky nature of the district.
Besides all of the above, stages installed at the temple, at Banshoji Temple and Fureai Square will have shows and attractions for both days, and even a big Obon-Odori dance!
The festival's grand finale is marked by the majestic Japanese Taiko Drums show with Tezutsu hand-held cannon fireworks, a tradition of Aichi Prefecture, providing an exciting and memorable night!
