Asuke Castle is a reconstruction of an estimate of the last known fortification where the Suzuki Clan of Asuke is deemed to have dwelt since at least as way back as the 15th century. Excavations and research at the site were not able to find concrete proof of past structures, hence the building style chosen for the replica follows common late-16th century architectural traits, aiming to represent the period when the power and influence of the Suzuki Clan is estimated to have been at their highest points.
