  • Mt. Miyaji

A view of Mt. Fuji on sunny days

Toyokawa City's Mt. Miyaji stands at a peak height of 362 meters with paths available for casual hiking. Stunning sights await you from the peak: Mikawa Bay, Toyohashi Bay, downtown Toyokawa and Toyohashi, and on sunny days, none other than Mt. Fuji!
The pretty white flowers of Enkianthus nudipes bloom in spring and trees take on brilliant red and yellow hues in fall, making for an exhilarating hiking experience. In mid-November, the Akasaka Post Town Mt. Miyaji Maple Festival takes place around the old Ohashiya Inn for additional fun.
