Leisurely clamming on an expansive, shallow sandy beach

Clamming is a leisure activity done mainly from April to June, where people dig up and collect shellfish from the sand of shallow sandy beaches. Minamichita is a fishing town famous for a variety of fresh, delicious seafood, and the taste of the clams taken from the waters of its expansive, shallow beaches is exceptional.
