Okazaki City and Okazaki City Night Time Economy Promotion Council will hold "Okazaki Castle Projection Mapping &Okazaki Castle Otemon Projection Mapping 2023 " at Okazaki Castle (Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture) from December 23 (Sat) to 26 (Tue), 2023.
This event will be held in conjunction with the broadcast of the NHK Taiga Drama "What Will You Do, Ieyasu?" and the closing of the "What Will You Dou,Ieyasu? Okazaki Taiga Drama Museum." Projection mapping images sublimating the culture and historical traditions of Okazaki City will be projected on the Okazaki Castle Keep, one of Japan's 100 famous castles and birthplace of Ieyasu Tokugawa.
Projection mapping images will also be projected onto the 16.4 meter wide and 11 meter high Okazaki Castle Otemon Gate, the main entrance to Okazaki Park.
In conjunction with the projection mapping, the Sugo riverside stonewalls in the Otogawa River Green Area will be digitally lit up with light.
Admission is free and no advance registration is required.
Please come and enjoy the projection mapping that will glamorously illuminate the night of Okazaki with cutting-edge digital art in conjunction with the finale of the NHK Taiga Drama "What Will You Do, Ieyasu?" and "What Will You Do, Ieyasu? Okazaki Taiga Drama Kan".
Request to visitors
・Please refrain from taking photos or videos using flash, drones, or using a tripod for long periods of time in the front rows during busy times. Also, please refrain from taking continuous shots or use the silent shooting function during crowded times, as the shutter sound of continuous shots may disturb people around you. We recommend that you use a smartphone to take video because of the fast-moving nature of the images.
・When using a tripod, the camera position is limited to the height of the photographer's head regardless of the viewing location (except for filming by official recording staff). Please refrain from using a stepladder or any other object that does not allow the photographer's feet to touch the ground.
・Please cooperate with other photographers in the area.
・Please be aware that you may be photographed or edited by staff members, and that you may be filmed for media coverage. Please be aware that you may be photographed, edited by staff members, or filmed by the media.
・ To avoid crowding, please be careful about keeping a distance from other people.
・ Please refrain from visiting those who are not in good physical condition due to fever.
