The Oiden Yana Fishing Weir opens every summer and offers a rustic, fun fishing weir to grab sweetfish by hand, as well an expansive open space for playing in the clear waters of the upper Yahagi River. On busier days, vendors set up booths selling grilled sweetfish; goheimochi, rice cakes on a stick, covered in a sweet miso sauce; and other delicious treats.
