Designated as one of Japan's Top 100 Cherry Blossom viewing spots, over one kilometer of Nagoya's Yamazaki River is lined both sides with large, lush cherry trees, and the walkway along the river is also lined with cherry blossom, adding to your enjoyment. Also, during the days when the blossoming reach its peak, a section of the length is lit up with artificial illumination, turning the place a wonderful sight even on evenings. Access is easy, only a 20min subway ride from Nagoya Station, then a 15min walk from Mizuhokuyakusho Station.

    15min (900m) eastwards walk from Mizuhokuyakusho Station of the subway Sakuradori Line (board from Nagoya Station) via Shiojisakura Road. Turn right (southwards) either before or after crossing the Ishikawa Ohashi Bridge over Yamazakigawa River, then follow the margins of the river.

    Approx. 10min (3.1km) from Takatsuji Exit of the Nagoya Expressway via Airport Line (空港線 Kuko-sen) and Shiojisakura Road (upon exiting Nagoya Expressway, turn left at Horitadori 5 intersection).
