"Hanami" Flower-Viewing in Kariya City by the Margins of Aizuma River

Among the best cherry blossom spots in the city of Kariya, the Cherry Blossoms Festival is celebrated every year at Kijo Park (the kanji for "Kijo" also reads as "Kameshiro"). During the Cherry Blossoms Festival period, about 60,000 people come to view the cherry blossoms at Suhara Park in the north and Kijo Park in the west.
Within Kijo Park there are around 400 cherry trees, and strolling beneath the blossoms that appear in the faint light when the sun sets also has a unique charm. In particular, the contrast between the pond and the nighttime cherry blossoms illuminated by bonbori paper lanterns is worth seeing. On April 1st (Saturday) and 2nd (Sunday), a Waku Waku Game Quiz Rally will be held.
