Seto-City Aichi-Kogen Quasi-National Park - Iwayado Park (Aichi-Kogen Kokutei Koen - Iwayado Koen)
An enchanting natural park filled with moist valley beauty of water and green
The attraction of this natural park is the dynamic nature revealed at the unusually shaped rocks and waterfalls, and the gorgeousness of the valley created by the Toriharakawa River. As part of the much larger Aichi-Kogen Quasi-National Park (Aichi-Kogen Kokutei Koen), this spot allows visitors to fully enjoy each season, with the beautiful Sakura cherry blossoms in spring, cute fireflies swarms in early summer, paddling in the water in mid-summer and the tinted maple leaves in autumn. The park also contains the Seto-City portion of the Tokai Nature Trail (Tokai Shizen Hodo) and is a much sought-after destination for hikers and trekkers due to the countless sightseeing places along its way. Distant about 40min walking from Iwayado, you will find the Mt. Iwasu Observation Deck (Iwasusan Tenbodai), which offers spectacular views and, during clear days, even the buildings of downtown Nagoya-City can be spotted in the distance.
