Amazing fireworks adorn a local traditional event

The "dashi" float goes in procession around the streets of Omori Hongo District in the area around Suwa Nangu Shrine. At night, a simple but beautiful pyrotechnic display entertains guests, together with "tezutsu" hand-held cannons and other fireworks.

    From Toei Station of the JR Iida Line (board from Toyohashi Station, which in turn is reachable from Meitetsu or JR Nagoya Station using either Meitetsu Nagoya Line or JR Tokaido Main Line):
    -10 min. northwards taxi ride on Route 151, or;
    -Take the Town Bus Toyone-Toei Line bound for Toei Onsen (とうえい温泉), get off at Hongo (本郷) (approx. 10 min. ride, 6.2 km).
