The 2020 Suwa Nangu Shrine Festival & Fireworks has been cancelled.

Amazing Fireworks Adorn a Local Traditional Event

The "dashi" float goes in procession around the streets of Omori Hongo District in the area around Suwa Nangu Shrine. At night, a simple but beautiful pyrotechnic display entertains guests, together with "tezutsu" hand-held cannons and other fireworks.
