A calm “Matsuri” festival with fireworks in the suburbs of Nagoya-City!

A traditional event in Nagoya, the Nakamura Park Summer Festival (中村公園夏まつり Nakamura Koen Natsu Matsuri) is held annually for three days on late July, with the last day reserved for the fireworks show. While the festival and the fireworks are not flashy and big at all, just centering around the local residents, it has dances and shows with food stalls, and visitors can enjoy a calm and relaxed summer night while seeing the traditional procedures. Despite being held during weekdays, the festival starts at evenings, so it’s perfect for a nightly stroll in the historic Nakamura Park.
