A Festival to Thank the Cats Which Continually Attract Good Fortune to Us All!

The whole city of Seto stops for this amazing celebration of beckoning cats! First and foremost, there's the 100 Japanese Beckoning Cats Exhibition Contest, featuring a hundred especially made cat statues selected among entries from all over the world. Then there's the free make-up for the kids, to have fun painting their faces with cat-like features. And let's not forget about the delicious FUKUFUKU, a bento-bako lunch box that comes in a porcelain container in the shape of a cat, highly popular every year!
