The soothing aroma of lavender everywhere

From mid-July, the lavender shrubs planted everywhere within this facility start to bloom and paints the place with the soft purple color of those cute and aromatic flowers. So the annual Lavender Fair takes place and guests are able to harvest lavender at will, as well as crafting aromatic sticks at the Acorn Workshop (Donguri Kobo).

Shopping for local produce and souvenirs, onsen baths, and much more

Besides the never ending lavender planters, the place also has the cozy shop Donguri Yokocho (lit. "Acorn Gallery" どんぐり横丁), inviting and featuring an absurd amount of items for sale, from locally produced vegetables and processed food, to merchandise of its acorn-shaped mascot character, and much more.

Find also the specious Donguri-no-Yu (どんぐりの湯) onsen hot spring bath house, with several kinds of pools and jet baths, and all the amenities for a nice relaxation time - including open air hot baths with beautiful decoration and stunning views.

During the period, the facility also hosts the Blueberry Fair on limited days, when freshly harvested berries from the nearby farms, as well as other blueberry products, are offered for sale. One famous item is the rice flour bread with blueberries. Nom-nom!

Check also the Tourist Information Center that is certified by the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) for Foreign Tourist Guidance.
