Held annually for three days starting on May 3rd, the festival procedures include ancient rituals, traditional "Kyu-do" archery tournaments, "gyoretsu" processions and the famous "Yabusame" ceremony, in which teenagers will ride a horse running along a course within the shrine's premises - the colorful garments and horse decorations are much sought after by tourists from all parts of the country.

Main events during the 2021 Toga Shrine Festival have been cancelled.
Only ikebana, sketching, and calligraphy exhibits will be on display.
