One of Kariya City's top spots to enjoy cherry blossoms' botanical beauty

Behold the famous cherry blossoms of Suhara Park during the annual Kariya Cherry Blossom Festival. This park acts as the northern area of the festival, complementing the flowers of Kijo Park to the west, and lights up the night with lanterns so you can enjoy the flowers even into the evening.
Dozens of spectators make their way to this popular cherry blossom destination in Kariya each year.

Notes : • Admission to certain areas of the park prohibited to protect trees.
• Fire usage for BBQs, etc. not allowed except for in the Suhara Park Day Camp grounds.
• Do not rope off areas for personal use.
• Bring trash home or separate and throw it away at the designated spots.

    Take the train from JR Nagoya Station to JR Kariya Station. From there, get on the Kariya City public shuttle bus Karimaru Bus and ride the Higashizakai Line to Suhara Koen Kita-guchi Bus Stop. Approx. 5-min. walk.

    Parking availability at the facility is limited, and traffic surrounding the park increases drastically during the festival. As such, guests are kindly requested to use public transportation whenever possible to help alleviate traffic congestion.
