The Souri area in the city of Chita is home to Souri Pond, which in turn is home to some 6,000 plum trees of 25 varieties. From mid-February to mid-March, beautiful plum blossoms come into bloom just as the Plum Blossom Festival is held with various events, delicious eats, and spectacular sights.

Can't-Lose Lottery Drawing
A lottery drawing with presents for all is held with anyone getting off at Asakura Station, Teramoto Station, or Tatsumigaoka Station with a magnetic strip commuter pass. Commute history is verified on the day of the drawing.

    From Meitetsu Nagoya Station, take the Meitetsu Tokoname Line, get off at Asakura Station and take the Chita Bus's Souri Line. Get off at Umenoyakata-Guchi Bus Stop and walk 5 min. east.

    Access by car
    Coming from Chitahanto Road, exit at the Higashiura Chita Interchange, turning right to head west on Route 24. After 1.5 km, Route 24 level-crosses the Meitetsu Kowa Line railway, and after the following intersection veers slightly to the right, head northwest for 240 m. Turn left at the split in the road and head toward the large power transmission line tower. Follow the road for 650 m and turn left upon reaching the red and white transmission line tower. Turn right after 50 m. Proceed another 1.5 km and the park will be to the left.
