Night Zoo & Garden—A whole new way to enjoy the zoo!

Once night rolls around at the summer Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens, the lights turn… on! Enjoy the otherwise dark nighttime zoo in a whole new way as it's lit up during this special event period.
Become illuminated on zoo inhabitants' otherwise secret nighttime behavior with friends, family, or that special someone!

Listen to special stories from zoo caregivers about their animals at the Night Zoo & Garden "Evening Animal Talk Show"!

This talk show educates about plants and their interesting characteristics.

Special Night Zoo & Garden Japanese fans are given to 900 guests each night on a first-come, first-served basis!!

Important points

• Leave yourself plenty of time to arrive as admission from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm is expected to experience congestion.
• Certain areas close from 4:30 pm. (Please note that some animals and plants cannot be observed.)
• Photography using flashes or strobe lights as well as use of flashlights, toys emitting bright or blinking light, etc. is prohibited.
• Each event's details are subject to change or cancellation without prior notice.
• Be cautious of heat stroke and drink plenty of water even at night.

• Adults (senior citizens of Nagoya, ages 65 and older):
Entry ticket: JPY 100 / Sky Tower admission combination ticket: JPY 160 / Year-round pass: JPY 600

• Admission by junior high school ages and younger free of charge.
• Admission to Night Zoo & Garden is also possible with normal admission fees!
Parking : Pay parking available (1,600 spaces)

Parking rates: JPY 800 for standard-sized vehicles / JPY 2,000 for large vehicles

• Parking validation tickets good for two hours are given to zoo-goers using the Ikeshita municipal parking lot at the Ikeshita Subway Station.
