And the main crowd pleaser is definitely the firework shells with a diameter reaching about 90 centimeters and a stunning weight of nearly 200 kilograms. Shot into the air, they bloom into an unbelievable 650-meter explosion—bigger than Tokyo Sky Tree at 634 meters tall—lighting up Gamagori's night sky. These colossal spectacles maintain a reputation as one of the largest fireworks used on the Pacific coast. Three varieties of this behemoth are launched in a single night with musically choreographed, seaborne, and other fireworks displays!
