Taketoyo-Town Taketoyo Town Oashi Area Jaguruma Festival

Date : 07/19/2025, 07/20/2025

Impressive Ja no Kuchi Fireworks

The Oashi Jaguruma Festival is a staple summer sensation in the town of Taketoyo. During the day, a huge parade float called the "Jaguruma" rolls around the streets while on Saturday night, mechanized fireworks of nearly 10 varieties light up the area around Toyoishi Jinja Shrine. One of them are the Ja no Kuchi Fireworks, which portray the tale of a dragon's daughter's and human's love for one another as sparks spray from handheld cannons atop the parade float left to right like a dragon in a dazzling display. The other mechanized fireworks too are incredible as they blossom into brilliant colors in the night sky.
The rehearsal festival offers these incredible fireworks while the main festival lets you take part in a mochi rice cake toss.
