Tokoname ware - pottery that exists in the midst of every day life

Tokoname-yaki pottery boasts a thousand years of history, and the workshops, artists, wholesalers and more come together at this large spot-sale market.

*: Starting in 2017, the Festival will be held in autumn instead of summer, with only the fireworks still held in summer.

11 specialized merchants will gather together to sell pottery and various other goods. Events include sale of "Choshoku-no-Utsuwa" breakfast ware, tea brewing lessons, street magic shows, a bonsai exhibit and other events. There will also be a tent shop selling food, drinks, and miscellaneous goods.

•Pottery Footpath
-Various events and sales at shops along the Pottery Footpath (excluding some shops)

•Aeon Mall Tokoname
-Sale of "manekineko" lucky cat goods
-Pottery-making experience
A place where the whole family can enjoy shopping and eating.

    Take the Free Shuttle Bus from Tokoname Station of the Meitetsu Tokoname Line (board from Meitetsu Nagoya Station).
    *: Shuttle bus operates on both days from 9:10 AM to 5:40 PM (4:40 PM on Sunday) and run every 30 min. Itinerary: 1-Meitetsu Tokoname Station; 2-Boat Race Tokoname; 3-Meitetsu Rinku Tokoname Station (Aeon Mall Tokoname); 4-CeraMall.
    *: Another free minibus will operate both days, traveling to more distant venues. Please see the official web site for details.

    Boat Race Tokoname Parking Lot: approx. 5 min. (1.5 km) southwestwards from Rinku I.C. of the Chita Odan Toll Road (Centrair Line) (from Nagoya, take the Nagoya Expressway R3 Odaka Route bound southwards and enter the Chitahanto Toll Road (Chita Peninsula Toll Road) at Odaka Junction).
