Tokoname Ware - Pottery That Exists in the Midst of Every Day Life
Tokoname-yaki pottery boasts a thousand years of history, and the workshops, artists, wholesalers and more come together at this large spot-sale market.
The Tokoname Pottery Festival, which will be held for the first time in two years, celebrates such long history and tradition, and takes place mainly at four venues in the city, including the new Boat Race Tokoname venue, among others. Come to find wonderful pottery and take some home with you!
*: Starting in 2017, the Festival will be held in autumn instead of summer, with only the fireworks still held in summer.
