Tokoname-City FLIGHT OF DREAMS
A sophisticated, interactive theme park at Centrair
FLIGHT OF DREAMS is a new multi-purpose facility built around a permanent exhibit of the first ever Boeing 787 airliner, located at Chubu Centrair International Airport!
Inside the huge four-story building there's the FLIGHT PARK where, besides enjoying the main exhibit, guests are also able to experience digitally delivered attractions produced by teamLab, a group specialized in digital art content in Japan and abroad. Called "Ultra-Experience," projection mapping techniques are used at the 787 exhibit hall, creating a virtual flight among fireworks and other unusual thematic patterns.
Illumination and sound are added to the Paper Airplane Tunnel where children of all ages throw them at the "Gate of Light." Several other devices and exhibits provide for a fun learning environment for both kids and adults, such as projecting images you've created yourself inside the dome space, booths where you can pilot a plane using a tablet device, a crew work experience and, of course, a 787 flight simulator.
You'll also find the SEATTLE TERRACE, a mall area inspired by the city of Seattle - which is precisely where Boeing was founded - featuring popular eateries and shops. The area also boasts storefronts that are new to Japan, such as the Boeing store, which is the first-ever outside of the USA.
*: FLIGHT PARK will end operations on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 and will be closed for renewal construction from Thursday, April 1.
