2020 Events Have Been Cancelled

"Hina Ningyo" dolls or "Tsurushi Hina" hanging mobiles decorate each one of the Handa Warehouses Town's touristic facilities for this year's Hina Festival.
During the festival's period, admission to both MIZKAN MUSEUM and Kunizakari Sake-no-Bunkakan Museum, which usually require reservations, are open for free visitation.
The annual procession of girls celebrating Hina Festival, the "Jusan Mairi" (Procession of the Thirteen), is another interesting event.

Kura-no-Machi Warehouses Town

Date: February 29th (Saturday)
Time: 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM, 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM
Girls about to complete the 12-year zodiac cycle for the first time come dressed in kimonos and tour the city, departing from the Ryokan & Restaurant Suehiro, and stopping for a blessing and purification ritual at the Nariha Shrine. An event that decorates the town with the grace of the girls in kimonos.

MIZKAN MUSEUM

The popular facility opens its doors for free visitation, dispensing reservations extraordinarily for both days.

Handa Red Brick Building (Handa Akarenga Tatemono)

• Glass Art Hina Festival Exhibit
Period: February 23rd (Sunday), 24th (Monday - holiday), 28th (Friday), 29th (Saturday) and March 1st (Sunday)
Time: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (3:00 PM on the last day)

Admission free of charge
Hina dolls depicted in glass art handcraft pieces, illuminated by a gentle light. A fantastic ambiance created by LED illumination.

Hina Dolls Exhibit, sales of limited brews of sake, and tasting sessions of amazake and nigorizake, etc.

Other events also scheduled at Former Nakano Hanroku Residence, the CLACITY facility and others.
