One of the symbols of the city, the illuminations around Mikawa-Tahara Station, Central Square and along Hanatoki Ave. are simple but a still fantastic sight adding to the countryside experience of Atsumi Peninsula. The initial light-up will occur under a celebratory event with live concert and other simple events, and on the same day, local kids will light candles along the sidewalk of the avenue in front of the Mikawa-Tahara Station.

3min (240m) northwards walk from Mikawa-Tahara Station of the Toyohashi Railways (Toyotetsu) Atsumi Line (board from Shin-Toyohashi Station, in turn reachable by JR Tokaido Main Line or Meitetsu Nagoya Line from Nagoya Station).

Approx. 50min (31km) southwards from Otowa-Gamagori I.C. of the Tomei Expressway via routes 1, 31, 23, and 259.
