See the Big World Unfold Before Your Very Eyes at Little World

They say that modern technology has made the world seem smaller, but it’s certainly not as compact or as enjoyable as Little World, the open-air world village theme park displaying architecture and culture from all over the world, at historical castle town Inuyama!

The Little World Museum of Man

From the exhibitions in the main entry building, the world is at your command! A two and a half kilometer road takes you around the “world,” consisting of unique regional villages featuring over 30 authentically recreated houses, buildings and cultural structures, supporting their own regional restaurants, folk craft souvenir shops, and attractions.

In many cases, the buildings were purchased and relocated from their original sites to Little World, then skillfully reconstructed and decorated with authentic furniture and accessories to show a realistic representation of the culture and lifestyles of the times and places. Among the more impressive are the Nepalese Buddhist Monastary, the mud huts of the African Kassena compound, the Balinese Gentry house and the German Bayern village. Some villages offer the chance to try on the traditional clothing of those countries too, such as French, German, Korean and Okinawan costumes.

Travel the world, and taste it too! As you visit each village, you’ll find that country’s cuisine. Indian, Korean, Peruvian, German, Italian, Taiwanese and more in the Little World Restaurant. Even African dishes, featuring ostrich and alligator in the Safari Plaza.

The Little World Museum of Man

The Little World Museum Shop sells original souvenirs and confectionaries. World Plaza offers over 5,000 types of wines, cheeses, clothing, accessories and sweets from over 50 countries. Other stores include the German handcrafts Marchen Wald, Indian themed Kerala, Mexican and Peruvian folk craft shop, Los Andes, and the French themed Alsace.

Get a special Little World Passport to record all your stops with a stamp to win small gifts at the end of your “world tour.” Walk the route at your own pace or take the Little World Bus around the course, getting on or off at any stop with a round trip ticket.

Day camp facilities are available opposite the open air stage which features an ever changing line up of performers from all over the world playing music, performing dances even acrobatics.

See the world, the Little World, in Inuyama!
