An exotic and curious festival with lots of sand sculptures!

The Inazawa Sand Festa is an exhibition festival featuring several large sculptures made with sand removed from riverbeds and embankments. Besides the astounding works of art, the event also has entertaining activities such as the Takara-Sagashi Treasure Hunt and the Small-Scale Sculpture Hands-On, among others. Look also for the local characters mingling with the visitors and photo shooting sessions!

*: Given that this event happens during the typhoon season, there are occasions when the sculptures are damaged in the days just before the festival, due to wind or excessive rain. If the damage is deemed irreparable, the monuments may be exhibited damaged as they are.
