This year, in order to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19), all events that may cause crowded conditions have been cancelled and only sand sculptures will be exhibited.

The Inazawa Sand Festa is an exhibition festival with the theme "Ichiyoraifuku ~Revival~" featuring 10 large sculptures (1.8 meters high x 3.0 meters wide x 2.4 meters deep) made with sand removed from riverbeds and embankments.

*: Given that this event happens during the typhoon season, there are occasions when the sculptures are damaged in the days just before the festival, due to wind or excessive rain. If the damage is deemed irreparable, the monuments may be exhibited as they are.
