Gorgeous Floats Parade Along the Scenic Old Town of Arimatsu!

You probably already know that Arimatsu-Town in Nagoya is one of the most amazing sightseeing spots of Aichi, where you can see the carefully preserved old town, and get to know everything about the centuries-old technique of Arimatsu-Narumi Tie Dyed fabrics. But annually on the first Sunday of October, that already interesting place gets even more attractive with the Arimatsu Floats Festival!

The three floats of Arimatsu are Nagoya-City Appointed Tangible Folkloric Cultural Heritages, and besides their admirable outer appearance, the guildsmen handling it while pushing them around the town, added to the puppet dolls demonstrations, are great attractions well worth seeing - especially on evenings, when the approximately 250 lanterns hanging from each float are lit up to make for a dazzling sight!
